Jean Rae Oliver was born in Riverhead, Suffolk County, NY, the daughter of Raymond D and Loraine Parker Oliver on February 7, 1936.
She moved with her family during World War II to Wilmington, NC, attending Winter Park schools and New Hanover High School, graduating with the class of 1954.
She married George Francis Fox in 1955 and with him had one son, George JR, born in Wilmington in 1956. She later married Lynn Spurgeon Stringer on My 12, 1980, in Clark NV, and they lived for many years in Kure Beach, NC.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Lynn Spurgeon Stringer of Kure Beach, NC, her sister Sharon Oliver Hollifield of Wilmington, NC, her son George Francis Fox JR, grandson George Francis Fox III, both of Wilmington and one step child,
Her service was held in Guthrie, OK, where she and Lynn lived for many years.
